SERENGETI WILDLEBEEST MIGRATION UPDATES!

The vast mega herd has taken over the central Serengeti plains, just southwest of Seronera. The area has received plenty of summer rain, making it a verdant oasis for the roaming herbivores. We expect they will stick around for a few more weeks to take full advantage of the fresh foliage before moving on.
Both of andBeyond’s Serengeti Under Canvas semi-permanent camps are perfectly positioned at Seronera, ensuring guests are able to witness this world-famous natural spectacle first-hand. With some rain in the Western Corridor, a few of the smaller herds are slowly making their way northwest. The bulk of the herds are anticipated to follow suit in the next few weeks.
andBeyond ranger Yona Panga, who is usually based at andBeyond Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp, recently spent some time guiding at andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas. He and his guests were fortunate enough to witness a pack of highly endangered African wild dog … a truly rare sight in the Serengeti!
