The Arusha Coffee Lodge
has long been held as the place to stay in and around Arusha and, until
the arrival of Onsea House, it really was. Today it is still very much
up there with great rooms, looking out onto the coffee plantations,
superb food and an overall aura of luxury. With its location just on the
edge of town it is a very popular stop over for those on the way out to
the northern safari parks and, even if you are passing through, can be a
great pit stop!
As
soon as you enter the Arusha Coffee Lodge from the dusty and dry
environment of safari or the bustle of downtown Arusha you are struck by
the fact that this really is an oasis of calm and relaxation.
The main entrance and communal areas are really well laid out and, regardless of the weather, offer a cosy log fire, or a quiet and picturesque garden in which to relax and eat some of their great menu.
The rooms, similarly, are very well appointed featuring baths and private balconies that look out over the surrounding coffee plants. The interiors have been carefully decorated to run with the luxurious and high quality nature of the lodge and, in our view, it is all pulled of very well. Apart from the price (which is fairly high) we have nothing bad to say about the place!
